Paintings
I got this giant book from my dad as a compensation for painting his lamp-stands. I had never heard of Grandma Moses before but I like this naive way of painting. She started to paint in her seventies so it´s never too late. Speaking of female painters, oh how I wanted to be able to paint as Gabriele Münter when I was young(er). I love the drawing of Sylvia von Harden. This is a nice portrait of her as well.
I think my Kulturtant (culture auntie) likes today´s post. I want to finish her today.
Remember I wrote about Vårsalongen? Yesterday some friends and I went to see the exhibition. It was inspiring to see all the different styles.
Some examples and details from the exhibition and at the bottom, my danceband portraits.
Up: My latest wood figure and a fleamarket finding from Gysinge.
In the middle: One of the five portraits that will be seen at Vårsalongen that opens January 29.
Down: One of all old record covers I bought to get inspiration for my portraits. Aren´t these guys just wonderful?
Now I will be gone for almost a week (skiing) and I will be back for the vernissage at Liljevalchs the 29th.
First I packed my paintings because today was the final day to leave the artwork at the museum. Vårsalongen starts January 29th next year.
