Yesterday I got a couple of hours over after leaving my son and friends at the movies. I could choose between spending them at the sale going on in all stores or going to my favorite antiquarian bookshop; Alfa. What I chose? Well I guess you know what kind of nerd I am by now:-).
I love this series of covers made in the sixties . I have some but this one was a bit too expensive. You´ll find it at the wonderful stationery shop S:t Pauls Bok och Pappershandel.
Yesterday I went to the theatre and saw Scener ur ett äktenskap, a new version of an old Bergman drama. It was really good. When I have a meet I´m always too early so that´s why I always have time to go to different second hand shops and antiquarian bookshops. Yesterday I had time to visit one and saw two of my own books that I did 10-12 years ago. I think that people that are late are a bit cooler than I am so sometimes I try to be late. Five minutes is my record:-)
First of all, the word LOPPIS means flea market. Anyway, we took Tidernas väg most of the times and along that way there were many handpainted signs with the word LOPPIS on it. The best one was in Lottefors. If you go there, stop at Sörens who knows a lot about all the great swedish designers from the 50´s. Then we went to places in Röste, Ismyra, Ockelbo, Kilafors, Ljusdal, Söderhamn, Bollnäs, Gysing etc. In Färila we met Torbjörn who has an antique store, an antiquarian bookshop and an art museum. We stayed over at two wonderful youth hostels that we booked along the way. This one for example.
