An article in Dagens Media that was published a couple of weeks ago. I have done an assignment for Solstickan, a Swedish charity foundation founded in 1936. They get their money from the sell of matchboxes. I did an interpretation of their well known illustration/logotype and it resulted in this pattern that they are going to use on several products.

Hello Ingela,
I’ve been reading your blog for some time and I love all your illustrations. Today I felt compelled to comment today’s post because I feel you’ve done a great work here. Last year I stayed for a couple of months in Stockholm, so I got to know part of the Swedish culture. As soon as I saw your illustration I cried, ”But this is so like those matchboxes!” Then I read the post and understood it 😉 The funny thing is that I don’t fully recall how the original box is (is there a girl on it???) but your illustration brought back nice memories of Sweden.
Cheers.
