I´m a lousy gardener so I´m so impressed that the flowers keep coming up year efter year. Last year I went to a garden centre and I tried to be someone who knew what I was talking about. I went to an employee and asked -Are these flowers herbaceous perennial plants or one year-olds? -They are plastic flowers she answered. True story. Here are some buns in my garden. By the way, the weather forecast was right, we had our first real summer day today.

My youngest son (soon seven years old) starts every morning by asking after the part of the morning paper where the weather is. Then he reads loud to all of us how the weather is going to be, in Sweden and in France (we were there last summer so he wants to be updated how they have it there). Today he read that it is going to be summer in Sweden this weekend. Yippie! Inspired by that fact I had to do these ones.
Today I´ve been baking cinnamon buns for my oldest sons acting class finishing (not the correct word in English I guess but I hope you understand what I mean). Isn´t May alwas like that; it is always something and you are so focused not to forget anything that you don´t even notice that it is May.
Old illustration for an article about Christmas cakes and buns. And as the women in the illustration, I haven´t skimped on the butter either.
And I keep going back to my old portraits. It´s good to have a theme when you want to do some quick drawing exercises.
I´ve done some work for Viking Line and here are some examples of spot illustrations.
