According to the World Health Organization, almost 90 % of the world’s school children suffer from dental cavities and they don’t get to learn about looking after their teeth. “Tugga för skillnad” (Chew for Change) is a cooperation between Extra and SOS Children’s Villages with the goal to strengthen children’s oral health in Ghana. For every chewing gum that Swedes chew during October and November, one öre is donated to SOS Children’s Villages. Extra and SOS Children’s Villages’ effort in Ghana aims to give as many children as possible education about oral care and their own toothbrush.
